Bringing your legacy into the future.
Sagamore Hill Capital Investments is a long-term holding company. Our name is an homage to the grit and determination it takes to grow a business. We were formed to acquire, operate, and grow a single exceptional business. We are self-funded, meaning we can offer business owners flexibility in all aspects of selling and succession. Our founder is an acquisition attorney with a robust background in family business. This background has instilled a deep-rooted passion for entrepreneurship and the desire to continue a business owner's legacy through acquisition.
Our Philosophy
We aren't your traditional business buyers. Our approach is to consider the business holistically, including its people. Our commitment is to grow the business by putting its human capital first and then drive for growth and continued profitability.
Flowing directly from our "People-Centric" philosophy is our decision to not take on outside investors. Without taking on outside investors we can follow the unique philosophy of Sagamore Hill Capital Investments without the distractions of investors' diverging aims. This means that we can focus solely on growing the business by investing in the the business's current assets. This includes its people.
Selling a business is something someone does few times if more than once. We realize that this can be a daunting process. In order to make this an easy process we have chosen a structure that makes flexibility a core philosophy. Our self-funded approach allows us to work greater flexibility into our arrangements meaning more ways for sellers to get comfortable with the terms of their sale.
Our managing partner comes from a long line of private business owners. He deeply understands the connection between the business owner and their enduring legacy. Our aim is to hold the business for the long term and grow it in a sustainable way.
